 PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MS. ADEDAYO BENJAMIN LANIYI AS DG/CEO OF THE MARYAM BABANGIDA NATIONAL CENTRE FOR WOMEN DEVELOPMENT President Bola Tinubu, has approved the appointment of Ms. Adedayo Benjamin Laniyi as the Director-General /Chief Executive Officer of the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development (MBNCWD) and  members of the Governing Council  for an initial term of four (4) years. In a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume the appointment which takes effect from April 18, 2026, is in accordance with the provisions of Section 7 (1) and (3) of the National Centre for Women Development (Amendment) Act, 2023. Federal Lawmaker Obidigwe Offers Primary To University Level Scholarship To New Born Twins In Anambra West



The member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe has offered scholarships to newly born twins, Chisom and Chinecherem from Umudora Anam, Anambra West Local Government Area. 

Hon. Obidigwe during the visit to the twins said that the scholarship will run from primary school to the University level, and donated three hundred thousand naira to the twins, even as he added that the twins and their parent will come for two weeks hospitality visit to Abuja.

The father of the children, Mr. Monday Azuka Anidebe, on behalf of his family appreciated the Lawmaker for his magnanimity towards his family and the people of the federal constituency in general and prayed God to bless him.

Mr. Anidebe maintained that Hon. Obidigwe has done tremendously well in office and urged Ndi Anambra East and West Federal Constituency to re-elect the Lawmaker in the forthcoming general elections for continuous development of the area.

The member representing Anambra West Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Patrick Obalum-Udoba, the Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr. Felix Ikechi, among numerous others were also present during the visit.
