 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. Police Arrest 2 Suspected Thugs For Disrupting APC Rally In Rivers

Operatives of the Rivers State Police command have arrested two suspected thugs involved in the disruption of campaign rallies in the State.

This was confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, in a chat with newsmen in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.

The thugs, in their numbers, were reported to have stormed the venue of the All Progressives Congress, APC, campaign rally in Eleme Local Government Area of the State on Tuesday, with intention to cause chaos, but luck ran out of two of them, who were apprehended by the police.

Iringe-Koko said the suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discrete investigation.

The police also displayed arms and ammunition recovered from the suspects by security personnel deployed at the venue of the APC campaign rally.

DAILY POST reports that there have been pockets of violence and disruption of campaign rallies by opposition parties in Rivers State.

Some leaders of opposition parties had pointed accusing fingers at the State Governor, Nyesom Wike, alleging that he is trying to frustrate the campaigns of other political parties in the State.
