 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. Contrary to the false story currently making the rounds and peddled by a dishonest individual, the suicide victim in Ogun state is NOT a client of LAPO Microfinance Bank.

 INITIAL REPORT:


Tragedy struck at Oke-Keesi, Itoko area of Abeokuta, Ogun State yesterday around 2pm, when a woman known as Mama Dada reportedly committed suicide by setting herself abl.azed in her rented house.


According to report from her neighbours she was owing one of this microfinance institutions popularly known as ‘Gbomu le lantern’ a loan of seventy thousand naira (70k)


""She’s owing the ‘Gbomu le lantern’ the sum of 70k, because she was unable to meet up with the payment she then sent her last born fuel and also use style to discharge the small boy and she lock herself up inside the room and wet everywhere with petrol including herself and she burn herself inside"" Elder Babawale CDA secretary


Her corpse has since been deposited at the State General Hospital, ijaye by the Ogun State fire service.
