 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion. Portable Celebrates Release from Prison, Shares Food Items to Fans. 

Controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, recently took to the streets to distribute food items to some residents of Lagos State.

The Zazoo crooner shared videos of philanthropic gestures via his Instagram page.

In the videos, the singer was seen distributing food items such as rice, bread, and drinks amongst others to some of his fans.

He also shared footwear and other non-edibles with the less-privileged.

His generous act is coming barely 48 hours after he was freed from detention.

Recall that Portable was arrested by police operatives on Friday after failing to honour invitations extended to him and was arraigned in court on Monday on a three-count charge bothering on assault and theft of musical equipment.

However, he was granted bail in the sum of N800,000 for the three charges with two sureties in like sum, by an Ogun State Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ifo.

The Magistrate ordered that the singer be remanded at the correctional centre in Ilaro pending the perfection of the bail conditions. He was later freed after perfecting his bail conditions.

After his release, Portable had promised to turn a new leaf.

The case was adjourned to the 26th of April for the commencement of trial.
