LAGOS COLLEGE OF NURSING ALERTS GENERAL PUBLIC ON FICTITIOUS COLLEGE ADMISSION .

The Provost, Lagos State College of Nursing (LASCON), Igando, Mrs. Oyefunso Orenuga has warned the general public to disregard fictitious posts on social media relating to the commencement of the admission process into the College for the year 2023/2024 Academic Session.

Orenuga gave the warning while reacting to a fake viral post on Facebook by a faceless scammer with the name Dr. (Mrs.) Mary Adelowo and Telephone No. 08033112363 who claimed to be the Admin of LASCON. The viral post falsely stated that the Management has commenced the sale of Admission Forms into the School of Nursing.

She reiterated that the general public should disregard the viral post in its entirety, stressing it is the handwork of dubious individuals who want to scam gullible citizens of their hard-earned money.

According to her, the faceless Dr. (Mrs.) Mary Adelowo with phone number 08033112363 is not known or related to the Lagos State College of Nursing (LASCON), Igando, as such was not acting on behalf of the College.

The Provost also emphasised that admission into the College now is strictly through JAMB, saying "Interested candidates must obtain JAMB form, choosing the College as First Choice with a score of 200 and above to qualify for the post-UTME screening of the College".

Orenuga also implored prospective candidates to visit the College’s website via www.lascon.edu.ng or its Twitter handle @LASCONigando for further enquiries or clarification, warning against payments into any individual’s account except that of the Lagos State College of Nursing, Igando.
