 TROOPS STALL TERRORISTS'  MISSION TO ATTACK COMMUNITY, NAB SUSPECTED GUN RUNNERS IN ADAMAWA, SEIZE ARMS Troops of the Nigerian Army deployed for Counter terrorism operations in North East Nigeria, in conjunction with Civilian Joint Task Force, have successfully intercepted a group of terrorists on transit to unleash attack in Yola South Local Government Area of Adamawa State.  The troops on fighting patrol near Wuro Jabbe encountered the terrorists who were on a mission to attack the community. Troops engaged the terrorists in a fierce fire-fight that compelled them to succumb and abandon their firearms. The troops captured one  PKM Machine Gun, 402 rounds of 7.62 mm x 54 NATO ammunition and 110 rounds of 7.62 mm NATO. In a separate but related operation, troops responding to actionable intelligence intercepted 3 persons suspected of gun running in the Sukuk Community, located in the Madagali Local Government Area of the state. Nigerians Will Never Forget My Husband - Aisha Buhari

Nigerian First lady, Aisha Buhari has said that her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari will be remembered as President who placed premium on youth development.

Speaking in Abuja on Tuesday when she flagged off the Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers (HIRD), she said the president was particularly passionate about the scheme, adding that his support for the scheme was driven by his belief for one Nigeria.

“The administration of President Muhammadu Buhari will be remembered as one, which places premium on youth development.

“Mr President is particularly passionate about the NYSC. His support for the Scheme is driven by his belief in one Nigeria, and, sincere appreciation of the contributions of these young men and women. To this effect, the First Family always treat corps members serving in Daura, Katsina State, to presidential reception during Sallah festivities,” she said.

She called on the management of the Scheme as well as the corps members not to relent on their efforts in promoting the unity of the country by providing quality service delivery to the nation irrespective of state or place of service.

Buhari noted that the introduction of the (HIRD) programme had been successful, hence her office appreciated the project by donating “a well-equipped mobile clinic to the Scheme to enhance the success of the corps medical team.”

She said the scheme had made enormous impact, especially among rural dwellers, which has continued to attract commendation from within and outside the country.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
