 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. We’ll Discharge Our Duty Without Fear, Favour – Election Tribunal Chairman

Chairman of the Election Petition Tribunal in Calabar, Justice Olukayode Adeniyi has given assurance that the tribunal will discharge its duties without any fear of favour.

Adeniyi stated this on Wednesday during the inaugural sitting of the tribunal in Calabar.

He said the tribunal would ensure that judgement was delivered in favour of the real winners of the just concluded National and State House of Assembly elections in the state.

The Chairman flanked by other two members of the panel, Justice Eva Okoronkwo and Justice Z. U. Modibbo, called for the cooperation of all parties involved in the hearing of the tribunal.

“We shall discharge our duties to the best of our abilities and always remain mindful of the oath we took.

“We assure all litigants of a fair trial and we will not entertain any form of interference from any quarter,” he said.
