 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. Two Internet Fraudsters Jailed In Makurdi

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Makurdi Zonal Command, has secured the conviction and sentencing of two internet fraudsters to various jail terms before Justices Abdul Dogo and N. I. Afolabi of the Federal High Court, Makurdi, Benue State and Federal High Court, Lafia, Nasarawa State respectively.
The convicts were prosecuted by the Makurdi Zonal Command of the Commission on separate one count cyber-fraud related charges.
They pleaded guilty to the separate charges preferred against them by the Commission. 
Consequently, Justice Afolabi convicted and sentenced Edward to one year imprisonment with an option of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500, 000) fine. He is also to forfeit his iPhone X which was the instrument used in perpetrating the crime to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Justice Dogo similarly convicted and sentenced Arigu to two years imprisonment with an option of One Million Naira (N1, 000,000.00) fine.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
