 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. Most of successful Nigerian female artistes managed by boyfriends - Rapper Magnito


Popular rapper, Mohammed Usman Adamu,popularly known as Magnito, has noted that the majority of successful female artistes in Nigeria are being managed by their boyfriends.

According to Magnito, this has become a prevailing trend in the Nigerian music industry, but fans remain unaware due to these artists keeping their relationships private.

The ‘Canada’ crooner made these statements during the latest episode of the Terms And Conditions podcast.

Magnito emphasized that despite not being publicized, many of these female artistes are indeed managed by their boyfriends, inviting listeners to verify by calling out any name.

“Most of the successful female artistes you see, the person managing them is their boyfriend. They might not put it in the public. But most of them… Call any name.”

His assertion sparked a range of reactions on social media, with some agreeing while others criticized him for making generalizations.
