 Alleged Defilement: Ogun Drops Charges Against School Proprietor, Cites Lack of Evidence …decries social media incitement against the accused, govt The Ogun State Government has decided not to press charges against the proprietor of Perfect Life School, Igode-Remo, Mr. Ashafa Samson Adelaja, over allegations of defilement. According to the state Ministry of Justice, following its findings after a thorough investigation of the allegations against Adelaja, the State Government, on Thursday, informed the Chief Magistrate sitting in the Sagamu Magisterial District that it would not be bringing any charges against him. Accordingly, Mr. Ashafa was unconditionally released from prison custody, according to a statement issued by the ministry. Most of successful Nigerian female artistes managed by boyfriends - Rapper Magnito


Popular rapper, Mohammed Usman Adamu,popularly known as Magnito, has noted that the majority of successful female artistes in Nigeria are being managed by their boyfriends.

According to Magnito, this has become a prevailing trend in the Nigerian music industry, but fans remain unaware due to these artists keeping their relationships private.

The ‘Canada’ crooner made these statements during the latest episode of the Terms And Conditions podcast.

Magnito emphasized that despite not being publicized, many of these female artistes are indeed managed by their boyfriends, inviting listeners to verify by calling out any name.

“Most of the successful female artistes you see, the person managing them is their boyfriend. They might not put it in the public. But most of them… Call any name.”

His assertion sparked a range of reactions on social media, with some agreeing while others criticized him for making generalizations.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
