Pixar announces new Finding Nemo short film, Loving Dory  Pixar is returning to the “Finding Nemo” universe with a new short film titled “Loving Dory,” continuing the franchise after its two films grossed roughly $2 billion worldwide. The short was announced at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where Pixar also revealed plot details and screened early footage. Produced by Mary Alice Drumm and directed by Lou Hamou-Lhadj, the story follows Dory as she takes Nemo to school. On her way back, she becomes trapped in a sea anemone and is rescued by what she believes is a jellyfish, which is actually a plastic bag containing a discarded sunscreen tube. Dory then forms an unexpected friendship with the object, with the footage showing a series of whimsical, emotional moments between the pair. THE CONTINUOUS DELAY IN SWEARING IN PDP’S HON. AARON UZODIKE IS ARBITRARY, ILLEGAL, DISRESPECTFUL AND DANGEROUS

The Abia PDP has observed with utter dismay the unconscionable and unwarranted delay in swearing into office Hon. Aaron Uzodike, PDP member representing Aba North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly whose mandate was restored by the Appeal Court in Lagos on November 27, 2023.

Following the restoration of his mandate which removed Mr. Destiny Nwagwu from office, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC without delay issued a Certificate of Return with reference number *SHA/0648/2023* to Hon. Aaron Uzodike and duly signed by the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, preparatory to his immediate swearing into office and assumption of duty as stipulated by the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and 2022 Electoral Act as Amended.

Surprisingly, more than three weeks after his mandate was restored and a Certificate of Return issued to him by INEC, Alex Otti Otti, the Speaker Emmanuel Emeruwa and the Labour Party have refused to swear him in to begin the arduous but interesting task of representing the good people of Aba North in the State House of Assembly so that they can begin to harvest the dividends of democracy.

The delay is not only arbitrary, but also illegal, disrespectful to the judiciary and laws of the land and also dangerous because it is capable of leading to a breakdown of the law and order not only in Aba North where they have been denied a voice in the way they are governed but also in the entire Abia State.

Abia PDP expects the Abia leadership of Abia state house of assembly to borrow a leaf from the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas who immediately swore into office Senators and Honourable Members of the National Assembly whose mandates were restored by the courts of final jurisdiction even when the returned members of the National Assembly were from opposition parties.

It is quite unsettling and speaks to the penchant of the Labour Party in Abia State to be selective in their obedience to the rule of law and court judgements. Above all, it speaks to the authoritarian bent and tendencies of the present government and Abia PDP is once again vindicated for saying that Alex Otti and his Labour Party are autocrats disguising as democrats and do not represent the interests of the labourers and the masses.

Abia PDP calls on Alex Otti to prevail upon Emmanuel Emeruwa, Speaker of the minority Labour Party-led Abia State House of Assembly, which is an existing aberration in the set up of the Abia House of Assembly to immediately swear in Hon. Aaron Uzodike to begin representing the good people of Aba North in the State House of Assembly.

We also call on the elders and good people of Abia State to weigh in on this matter and stop Alex Otti and his Labour Party from disrespecting the courts and their judgements because once it becomes a norm, it would not only be detrimental to our democracy, but also herculean to change the aberration in the future.

Signed

*Hon. Abraham Amah*
