 Court Jails Fake American, Two others in Kaduna   Justice A.A Isiaka of the Kaduna State High Court, sitting in Kaduna has convicted and sentenced a fake American,  Stephen Thomas to five years imprisonment.  He was jailed after pleading guilty to one-count charge bordering on impersonation by the Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.   His charge reads: “That you, Stephen Thomas (a.k.a Rolanda Collins), male, sometimes in February,  2024 at Narayi Kaduna within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court fraudulently impersonated one Rolando Collins (an American citizen) on Facebook and in such assumed character, cheated one Kate Stewarton (an American citizen) the sum of $100(One Hundred USD) and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 308 and punishable under Section 309 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law 2017.”   He pleaded “guilty” to the charge when it was read to him which prompted the prosecution counsel, M. LASG ANNOUNCES TWO-HOUR TRAFFIC DIVERSION AT IYANA ISOLO OVERHEAD BRIDGE


The Lagos State Government has announced that traffic will be diverted at the Iyana-Isolo overhead bridge between 7:00 am and 9:00 am on Sunday, 10th December 2023, to enable the Federal Ministry of Works to investigate the level of deterioration of the overhead bridge.

Consequently, Motorists are advised to avoid this part of the highway on the stated date by making use of the following alternative routes:

1. Motorists from Mushin en route Isolo through Daleko are to use Ijeshatedo to connect Cele Roundabout, access Cele Bridge to Okota Road, link Mushin Road and continue their journeys.

2. Motorists from Isolo enroute Mushin through Daleko Bridge are to use Mushin Road to access Osolo Way to link Airport Road to connect Oshodi to reach their various destinations.

It should be noted that the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway where the bridge is located will be open to Motorists during the Two-hour closure.

While soliciting the understanding and cooperation of Motorists, the State Government added that Traffic Management and Security Personnel will be deployed to manage traffic flow and minimise inconveniences.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
