 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room. Supreme Court Affirms Governor Dauda Lawal Of Zamfara State Victory 

Reactions and jubilations trails the ancient city of Gusau, Zamfara State capital over the supreme court judgement which affirmed Governor Dauda Lawal as the elected governor of the state.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Gusau, reports that, there are reactions and jubilations based on the judgement of the supreme court which confirmed Dauda Lawal as the elected governor of the state.

Most of the people interviewed, express hope that the governor will deliver the responsibility bestowed on him and urged him to carry everyone along.

In a statement issued by the Zamfara State Commissioner of Police through the Command's Public Relations Officer, ASP Yazid Abubakar urged party supporters and loyalists to remain calm and law abiding citizens as police will not allowed any political thugs to form celebrations in any way.

Similarly, the opposition party APC also issued a statement signed by the Party's Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris, calling on their supporters also to remain law abiding citizens and to always remain calm and support the security agencies in the discharge of their responsibilities.
