  NBC bans Eedris Abdulkareem’s protest song ‘Tell Your Papa’ from radio, TV The National Broadcasting Commission has barred Nigerian radio and television stations from airing the trending song “Tell Your Papa” by veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, citing its “objectionable nature.” In a memo dated April 9, 2025 and issued by the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi, the commission declared the track Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. This section prohibits content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of public decency from being aired on Nigerian broadcast platforms. According to the NBC, while the song has gained momentum across social media platforms, its lyrical content fails to meet the standards of responsible broadcasting. Woman encounters creepy figure called 'Night Marcher demon' while taking a run in haunted forest

A woman may have unknowingly passed the ghost of a supposed ancient Hawaiian warrior while running through a rainforest.

The lady, Kay Borleis was running the Hawaiian Ultra Running Team’s Trail 100-Mile Endurance Run on the Honolulu Mauka trails in Oahu in January 2019 when she had the scary encounter.

'To this day, we still don’t know what it was,' said Borleis, a senior art director, in a blog post.

The race, known as HURT 100, is a 20-mile loop through the rainforests that participants run five times.

Borelis' friend Cassie was running the fourth lap with her when Cassie snapped the photographs, which she shared with friends and family.

The dark figure is said to be a Night Marcher, which are ghosts of ancient Hawaiian warriors who protected people so sacred that the common man was never allowed to look at them.

'After dinner, we drive back to our Airbnb and Cassie receives a text from her mom. It was about one of the photos Cassie had sent,' Borelis explained.

'It was a “live” (moving photo) that showed a dark figure dressed in a cloak moving past me while I was running.'

'Now, I know my memory is quite shotty after the race and even while racing, but I did not remember passing a person on that strip of trail. Cassie didn’t either and she had her wits to her.'

Borelis said there were other bizarre aspects from that day. She said she has been an avid runner since she was 14-years-old and had previously never dropped out of a race.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
