 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting.  Fire Of God Will Consume Those Messing Around With Our Traditional Rulers – RCCG Church Overseer, Pastor Adeboye


stor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has called down the “fire of God” to consume the killers of traditional rulers in Nigeria.


The respected cleric, who said this while reacting to the killing of two traditional rulers in Ekiti State by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herders, said that those trying to mess around with traditional rulers in the country would not know peace as the monarchs were anointed.


Pastor Adeboye during the church’s monthly Holy Ghost Service programme tagged, “From The Mountain Top” said, “The fire of God will consume all those trying to mess around with our traditional rulers.


“Because as far as God is concerned, traditional rulers are anointed.”


The cleric's reaction came following the escalating insecurity in the country, with the recent killing of three traditional rulers in the Southwestern region of the country within four days.
