 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. Jefferson County, Kentucky deputy dies from an accidental discharge from his firearm.


60-year-old Marion "Scott" Fawbush passed away in his vehicle around 5pm on Wednesday.  


According to official reports Fawbush had just gotten of work and was in his vehicle when his gun discharged.  The round struck him in a major artery in his leg and he sadly died on scene.


Fawbush has been a deputy for Jefferson County since 2016. He served 31 years in the army, retiring as Command Sergeant Major. 


Our thoughts and prayers are with Marion "Scott" Fawbush's family and friends.
