 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. THE NEW AFRICA CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE FOR MYCOTOXIN AND FOOD SAFETY FUT MINNA IS POISED TO REDUCE CASES OF CANCER  IN NIGERIA.


The Director Africa Centre of Excellence for Mycotoxin and Food Safety Federal University of Technology Minna Niger state Professor Hussaini Anthony Makun has expressed optimism that the commissioning of  the centre will helped to reduce current increase in cases of cancer and other diceases in Nigeria.


He stated this after the commissioning of the multi million naira edifice at the Gidan Kwano campus of FUT Minna.


Professor Hussaini Anthony explained that already masters and phd students from twelve African countries are currently on capacity building and research using the state of the earth equipments at the centre to prevent and control any poison from our food.


According to him mycotoxin are those harmful substances that causes cancer of the liver and kidney diseases which the centre is poised to removing all forms of antibiotics from our grains through the use of I C P E O S and PCR machines.


On the issue of African students coming to the university Professor Hussaini Anthony explained that the way media blows issue of insecurity scares students from other countries to come to the university and called for a change of attitude.


He said while the centre is partnering with Standard Organization of Nigeria,NAFDAC will also benefit from their researches for maximum benefit.


About one million naira was expended for the construction and equiping of Africa Center of Excellence for Mycotoxin and Food Safety by the Federal Government facilitated by World Bank under the facilitation of National Universities Commission NUC. 


The remodelled FUT gate which was executed through the support of the Vice Chancellor Prof Faruk Adamu Kuta was commissioned by representative of Niger state Governor Mohammed Umar Bago the state Head of Service Alh Abubakar Salisu.
