Mozambican authorities reported that an overcrowded handmade ferry sank off Mozambique's north coast, killing at least 94 people, 5 rescued and the others are still missing. 


According to Nampula province officials, 

the people were fleeing a cholera outbreak, Nampula Secretary of State Jaime Neto stated that the boat was overcrowded and unsuited to carry passengers it ended up sinking, he added that an undisclosed number of children also died on the scene.
