 I Don’t Wish It On You – Genevieve Nnaji Knocks Trolls Age-shaming Her Veteran Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has responded to social media trolls who made age-shaming comments about her. According to Naija News, a user on X reacted to Genevieve's post on April 3, 2025, stating that she couldn't escape aging and was getting older. The comment read, “You really cannot cheat nature. My fine wine is finally growing old.” In her reply, Genevieve pointed out that things could be worse; she could age significantly and eventually die if she were fortunate. She wrote, “It gets worse, bro. I’ll get so old I’ll die. If I’m lucky.” Another troll referred to her as “mummy,” suggesting she was old, but Genevieve quickly dismissed the comment, saying she wouldn’t wish old age on him.  LAGOS STATE POLICE COMMAND INTRODUCES PERMANENT PHONE NUMBERS FOR POLICE DIVISIONS, AREA COMMANDS AND STRATEGIC OFFICERS



The Lagos State Police Command, in a remarkable move to provide a more stable channel of communication between the public and the police, has acquired hundreds of telephone lines to be permanently assigned to the offices of Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and other strategic officers.


This move phases out the old era where the personal phone numbers of these strategic officers are used for official communication/ assignments, resulting in communication barrier whenever these officers are redeployed.


With the new arrangement, numbers remain permanently attached to particular offices such that with the redeployment of the occupants of such officers, the phone numbers remain the same.


The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Adegoke Fayoade mni, has taken this step to provide improved access, quicker response times and enhanced communication for the good people of Lagos State.


CP Fayoade equally commends the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Lagos State Command, under the leadership of Apostle Kehinde Showemimo for magnanimously providing desktop phones to all police divisions within the state for the use of the newly introduced phone lines. The CP noted that this gesture will go a long way in consolidating the commitment of the Command in engaging with communities and creating a safer environment for everyone in the state.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
