  Portable breaks down in tears and apologizes again for slapping preacher Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, broke down in tears as he issued yet another apology following a confrontation with a preacher outside his bar. The singer's apology, which is his second in a row, comes after gospel singer Testimony Jaga gave Portable a three-day ultimatum to apologize to the pastor or face unspecified consequences. The controversial street star explained that his reaction was due to a past traumatic experience involving his sister, who was once attacked by someone posing as a pastor. He added that he would not have slapped the preacher if he knew he was a "true man of God." However, in a recent video, Portable is seen on his knees crying profusely, as he expressed remorse for his actions against the preacher.  WHO African: Dr Faustine Engelbert Ndugulile Elected New Regional Director 


Dr Faustine Engelbert Ndugulile of Tanzania has been nominated as the next Regional Director for the World Health Organization (WHO) African Region. He takes over from Dr. Matshidiso Moeti, who has served two five-year terms at the helm.


African Member States voted to nominate Dr. Ndugulile during the seventy-fourth session of the WHO Regional Committee for Africa, held in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo. 


Other candidates were Dr Boureima Hama Sambo of Niger, Dr Ibrahima Socé Fall of Senegal and Dr Richard Mihigo of Rwanda.


Dr Ndugulile's nomination will be submitted for appointment by the 156th session of the WHO Executive Board, which wilp place in February 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland. The newly appointed Regional Director will take office thereafter for a five-year term renewal once.
