 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state.  ‘They say I worship the devil’ – Rema


Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has revealed the craziest rumour he has seen online about himself.

The ‘Calm Down’ hitmaker said being tagged “a devil worshiper” was the craziest rumour ever peddled against him.

Rema featured in a recent episode of the ‘Kids Take Over’ podcast.

The host asked: “What’s the most crazy, untrue thing that you’ve seen online about you?”

Rema replied: “They say worship the devil [laughs]. It’s crazy. I didn’t respond to it because it is not important. It’s a waste of time.”

The singer explained that the symbols he used in expressing his art were Edo culture and not satanic.

Rema also spoke about working with Canadian superstar, Drake in 2020 for his song ‘Mention Me’ which got leaked.

“I’m happy to work with a legend like Drake. I feel like we are going to make a very huge song if we take our time to build something very strong,” he said.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
