 ‘I’ll turn off the mic’ — Remi Tinubu reins in Adeleke’s singing at Ooni’s anniversary First Lady Oluremi Tinubu cautioned Ademola Adeleke, the Osun state governor, for prolonged singing during his remarks at the 10th coronation anniversary celebration of Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife. The moment, captured in a now-viral video, occurred as the governor mounted the podium on Sunday to pay tribute to the monarch and to congratulate the Remi on her newly bestowed chieftaincy title, Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua. Rather than proceed immediately with his formal message, Adeleke, popularly known as the “Dancing Governor” for his spirited public appearances, burst into a short musical chant, drawing laughter from parts of the audience.  Transfer: ‘He was disappointed’ – Details of Mikel Obi’s call with Osimhen after Galatasaray move


Former Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has revealed he spoke with Victor Osimhen after the summer transfer window shut.

Mikel Obi tried to get Chelsea to sign Osimhen, but the move eventually did not happen.

Osimhen has since sealed a season-long loan deal to Galatasaray.

Speaking on the new episode of his podcast, Mikel Obi said: “He was disappointed it did not happen.

“I gave him a call after the transfer window shut. I gave him a call and we spoke for about 20 minutes.

“I told him that I’m always here for you. Keep your head down, keep working hard, training.

“Just make sure when the time is right, you are ready.”
