 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.  Transfer: ‘He was disappointed’ – Details of Mikel Obi’s call with Osimhen after Galatasaray move


Former Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has revealed he spoke with Victor Osimhen after the summer transfer window shut.

Mikel Obi tried to get Chelsea to sign Osimhen, but the move eventually did not happen.

Osimhen has since sealed a season-long loan deal to Galatasaray.

Speaking on the new episode of his podcast, Mikel Obi said: “He was disappointed it did not happen.

“I gave him a call after the transfer window shut. I gave him a call and we spoke for about 20 minutes.

“I told him that I’m always here for you. Keep your head down, keep working hard, training.

“Just make sure when the time is right, you are ready.”
