 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. A 38-YEAR-OKD WOMAN WAS FOUND DEAD IN A HOME IN SOUTH AFRICA. (PHOTOS).

 A 38-year-old woman, Brenda Maluleka, was found murdered in her home at Ga-Phasha Selatole village

According to a 22-year-old witness, she discovered Maluleka's lifeless body in her bedroom earlier today, 17 October 2024. 


A local resident revealed that Maluleka's husband had been missing since last week Wednesday. After the incident, he was nowhere to be found in Ga-Phasha Selatole until today. 


Forensic experts and police arrived at the scene. Investigations are ongoing.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
