 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. A GROOM SHOT DEAD ON HIS WEDDING IN DAY IN THE UNITED STATES. (PHOTOS).

 North Carolina man loses his life at his wedding reception after being shot by a stranger only hours after the wedding. This story is upsetting and the man is still on the run. Make sure you read the nearly unbelievable story of Tyrek's passing, below. 


Greensboro P.D. were called to the scene of a shooting at 8:49 p.m. on Saturday. As they arrived at Barber Park Events Center,

they discovered 37-year-old Tyrek Burton suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. First responders attempted lifesaving measures but Tyrek was sadly pronounced deceased. 


Witnesses to the shocking event and wedding attendees shared the chilling account of the events that led up to the senseless death. According to the witness statements, Tyrek had left the event briefly to retrieve something. When he returned he was followed into the parking lot by a man accusing Tyrek of cutting him off in traffic. According to reports the man kept demanding to know who passed him at a nearby stop sign. Tyrek calmly told the man if he had cut him off, he was sorry.


It was at this point the man opened fire on Tyrek striking him multiple times in front of his new bride and wedding attendees.


 The suspect then fled the scene. Police are investigating the incident and say no suspect has been identified yet.


Greensboro Guilford Crime Stoppers are offering a reward for anyone who has any information that could lead to an arrest.
