 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. A GROOM SHOT DEAD ON HIS WEDDING IN DAY IN THE UNITED STATES. (PHOTOS).

 North Carolina man loses his life at his wedding reception after being shot by a stranger only hours after the wedding. This story is upsetting and the man is still on the run. Make sure you read the nearly unbelievable story of Tyrek's passing, below. 


Greensboro P.D. were called to the scene of a shooting at 8:49 p.m. on Saturday. As they arrived at Barber Park Events Center,

they discovered 37-year-old Tyrek Burton suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. First responders attempted lifesaving measures but Tyrek was sadly pronounced deceased. 


Witnesses to the shocking event and wedding attendees shared the chilling account of the events that led up to the senseless death. According to the witness statements, Tyrek had left the event briefly to retrieve something. When he returned he was followed into the parking lot by a man accusing Tyrek of cutting him off in traffic. According to reports the man kept demanding to know who passed him at a nearby stop sign. Tyrek calmly told the man if he had cut him off, he was sorry.


It was at this point the man opened fire on Tyrek striking him multiple times in front of his new bride and wedding attendees.


 The suspect then fled the scene. Police are investigating the incident and say no suspect has been identified yet.


Greensboro Guilford Crime Stoppers are offering a reward for anyone who has any information that could lead to an arrest.
