 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  Jimmy Carter, 100, Casts Ballot For Kamala Harris In 2024 Election


Jimmy Carter  voted by mail today in the 2024 presidential election, fulfilling a goal as he remains in hospice care and passed his 100th birthday earlier this month.

A spokesperson for the Carter Center confirmed that the former president cast his ballot, but provided no other details.

The ballot was put in a drop box at the Sumter County Courthouse near Plains, GA, where he lives.

Jason Carter, his grandson, told ABC News this week that the former president planned to vote for Kamala Harris.Jason Carter had said during the summer that his grandfather had a goal of living long enough to vote for Harris.


Carter’s son, Chip, told Atlanta Journal Constitution that his father “absolutely” voted for Harris. His wife, Becky, dropped off the ballot at the dropbox.


Carter’s three Democratic successors — Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden — have been campaigning for Harris. Clinton, Obama and Biden today were attending the funeral of Ethel Kennedy at Washington’s Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle.


Carter became the longest living U.S. president on March 22, 2019, when he was 94. He celebrated his 100th birthday on Oct. 1.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
