MURDER: 15 YEAR OLD RELEASED FROM JUVENILE PRISON DUE TO LACK OF SPACE AFTER SHOOTING A 14 YEAR OLD. (PHOTO).

A 15-year-old juvenile from Centralia was taken into custody after an alleged accidental shooting of a 14-year-old female juvenile. He was released shortly afterwards due to "no space" at the juvenile facility.

Yesterday's incident unfolded at approximately 8:15 a.m. at a residence on East Rasback. A 14-year-old girl was accompanied by a friend while visiting two males at the residence. While visiting, one of the males produced a firearm to show everyone else. At some point, the firearm discharged and struck the 14-year-old female in the leg.

However, the initial 911 call reported the incident was "related to a fall".

After the juvenile female was treated medically, the 15-year-old juvenile was taken into custody.

The 15-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and aggravated assault.

However, when the minor was taken to a juvenile facility he was released due to there being no space for him in the facility.

There appears to be confusion involving this incident as early reports from the community and eyewitnesses stated there were two victims. Several people self-reported seeing more than one injured person but we are only learning of one victim at this time. We are looking at videos and photographs in an effort to discern what individuals are self-reporting what they saw.

Our thoughts are with everyone involved in this case, including the individuals that had to witness the aftermath. We will be praying for a full recovery for the 14-year-old.

There are no more confirmed details at this time, but we will update when we learn more.
