 Three de-ad, four coaches affected as Warri-Itakpe train derails The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has confirmed the d3ath of three persons following the derailment of the Warri-Itakpe train in Agbor, Delta State. The Corporation added that four coaches left the rail track during the incident which occurred on Monday, June 8, 2026. The Managing Director of NRC, Dr. Kayode Opeifa, said in a statement that the emergency response team and other relevant authorities are currently managing the situation and providing necessary assistance. “The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has confirmed a serious train accident involving the Warri–Itakpe Train Service (WITS) corridor at Agbor, Delta State,” the statement read. “Rescue and emergency response operations were immediately activated. Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has publicly tendered an apology to the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners of Nigeria TAMPAN and its president, Bolaji Amusan, better known as Mr Latin


We reported in 2021 that Nkechi and Iyabo Ojo had openly condemned the conduct of Baba Ijesha for allegedly defiling the foster daughter of Nigerian comedienne Princess, which the association wasn’t pleased with. They had also clashed with some TAMPAN members, such as Yomi Fabiyi and Lege Maimi, who kicked against them for openly condemning Baba Ijesha.


Following this, Veteran actor Jide Kosoko, during a press briefing, took action against them as he barred directors in the association from working with them. 


Reacting to it, Nkechi mocked the association’s decision, stating they were threatening to frustrate people who could feed their entire generation till the end. She went on to call the association one of lawlessness.


A month later, Nkechi apologized for everything she said, adding that she was disrespectful to Jide Kosoko and TAMPAN.


Now, at the Celebrities Entertainment Awards in Canada, Nkechi took to the stage to apologize to Mr Latin and TAMPAN. In a video making rounds, Nkechi was seen on her knees with a microphone as she apologized to the association.
