 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food.  Edo workers to get 13th month salary


Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has approved the payment of “13th month” salary to workers in the state civil service.


The governor has also approved the policy of automatic employment for first class graduates of Edo extraction from any university in Nigeria and abroad into the state civil service to boost the quality of manpower in the system.


Edo Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa, disclosed this on Friday, noting that the Graduate Development Programme was to ensure that quality manpower was brought into the system for effective and efficient service delivery that would enhance growth and development.
