 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.  WORKS ONGOING ON THE RECONSTRUCTION OF ATANI ROAD

Rehabilitation works is ongoing on the project, the reconstruction of Atani Road in Ogbaru LGA, Anambra State.


The 10km road which was awarded in June this year has a 14-month completion timeframe which is in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's vision to make the state the premier destination for investment, business, tourism, and living.


The contract was awarded to a competent contractor Mideast Construction Company Ltd.


The road when completed, will not only ease traffic along the ever busy Enugu -Onitsha Expressway, it would drastically reduce accidents and criminality on the road and also help to evacuate farm produce as the people of Ogbaru are agrarian communities.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
