 Rema Becomes First African Artist on Rolling Stone Cover Nigerian music star Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has made history as the first African artist to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. The American publication, renowned for its coverage of music, politics, and pop culture, announced Rema as the cover star for its April 2025 edition. Mavin Records celebrated the achievement on Instagram, calling him the “Afrobeats Visionary.” Following the announcement, Rema delivered an electrifying performance at the Rolling Stone concert, thrilling audiences with hits like Dumebi, Woman, and Calm Down. This milestone further solidifies Rema’s influence in global music, coming shortly after his feature on Dazed magazine.   Jide Kosoko’s children roll out beautiful tributes as he clocks 71


Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko’s children have penned beautiful tributes to celebrate their father’s 71st birthday.


The celebrant took to Instagram to share photos of himself accompanied by a thankful note.


“I am a year plus today. Please help me thank God for his mercy. Mo ngbe apa, ose gbe, mo ngbe ese, ose gbe. Ogo ni fun Olorun loke orun.”


His children, Shola Kosoko, Bidemi Kosoko, and Temi Kosoko, all took to their respective social media accounts to celebrate their father.


Shola Kosoko eulogised her father with sweet praises.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
