 Segun Arinze hints at returning to music. Nollywood actor, Segun Arinze, has explained why he left the music industry. Featuring in a recent episode of ‘Curiosity Made Me Ask’ hosted by content creator Bae U Barbie, Arinze stated that he didn’t leave music because he failed at it but to focus on acting. “I didn’t fail as a musical artist. I left music on my own volition. If I wanted to do music, I would have continued. “I read theatre art at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife. I left school, I did well. I went into my music on my own volition. When I decided to concentrate on my acting career, I concentrated on my acting,” he explained. Arinze said he will be making a comeback in the music industry in the future.   Jide Kosoko’s children roll out beautiful tributes as he clocks 71


Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko’s children have penned beautiful tributes to celebrate their father’s 71st birthday.


The celebrant took to Instagram to share photos of himself accompanied by a thankful note.


“I am a year plus today. Please help me thank God for his mercy. Mo ngbe apa, ose gbe, mo ngbe ese, ose gbe. Ogo ni fun Olorun loke orun.”


His children, Shola Kosoko, Bidemi Kosoko, and Temi Kosoko, all took to their respective social media accounts to celebrate their father.


Shola Kosoko eulogised her father with sweet praises.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
