 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  Los Angeles fires: Trump accuses California leaders of incompetence.


The incoming President of the United States, Donald Trump, on Sunday accused California officials of incompetence over their handling of deadly wildfires raging across Los Angeles.


In a post on on his Truth Social platform, Trump said incompetent politicians have no idea how to put out the raging fires.


“This is one of the worst catastrophes in the history of our Country. They just can’t put out the fires. What’s wrong with them?” he asked.


According to Trump, the speed and intensity of the blazes ravaging Los Angeles have tested firefighting infrastructure and given rise to questions and criticism about the state’s preparedness.


It was gathered that hydrants ran dry in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood as it was ravaged by one of the region’s five separate fires, while water shortages additionally hampered efforts elsewhere.


With just over a week before he returns to the White House, Trump has launched a series of evidence-free broadsides, accusing California’s Democratic Governor, Gavin Newsom, of failings in response to the blazes.


Meanwhile, Newsom has invited Trump to visit Los Angeles and survey the devastation with him.
