 Yem Kem’s Wife Dies Three Days After 55th Birthday Dr. Akintunde Ayeni, founder and CEO of Yem-Kem International has lost his beloved wife, Erelu Anthonia Abiodun Ayeni. She passed away on Monday, 6 January, 2025, three days after her 55th birthday The sad occurrence comes five months after the Ayeni family had the wedding of their son, Christopher, to Adeola Boye in a colourful ceremony at Hyde Park, Lagos. Though details surrounding Erelu Abiodun Ayeni’s demise are not made public, eminent Nigerians and friends of the Ayenis have been extending condolences to the family. On Wednesday, 8 January, 2025, the Governor of Ekiti state, Abiodun Oyebanji paid a condolence visit to the Lagos home of the Ayenis where he sympathized with the bereaved Yem-Kem boss. The late Erelu Abiodun has been generally described as a remarkable woman whose warmth, kindness, and contributions will always be remembered.

Nathaniel Bassey shares testimony of how he got US presidential prayer breakfast invite


Popular gospel singer and pastor Nathaniel Bassey, in a viral video during a recent Christian event, spoke about his invitation to US President-elect Donald Trump's presidential inaugural prayer.

Legit.ng recalls reporting a few days ago that Nathaniel trended after reports of him being invited to serve at Trump's Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., on January 20, 2025, emerged.

The reports revealed the gospel singer would minister at a non-governmental and non-political event hosted by Reverend Merrie Turner, which will take place prior to Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance's inauguration.


The gospel singer who graced Pastor Poju Oyemade's World Faith Believers Convention (WOFBEC) for this year spoke about the invite to the presidential inaugural prayer breakfast.

During his ministration at the event, Nathaniel narrated how he received a call from a lady who introduced herself as Reverend Turner and shared how God told her to send for him to release God's glory upon the United States.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
