 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life.  Police Arrest Officer for Shooting Former Bauchi LG Chairman


The Nigeria Police Force Zone 12 Command has confirmed the arrest of a police officer accused of shooting and injuring Alhaji Danlami Alhassan, a former Chairman of Ningi Local Government Area in Bauchi State.


Zone 12 Police Public Relations Officer, Thomas Goni, stated that the officer involved has been identified and is in custody, assuring the public of a thorough and impartial investigation.


“The officer will face disciplinary action according to Force guidelines. We are addressing this matter with the seriousness it deserves,” Goni said, adding that the incident has raised community concerns and prompted a review of police training and protocols to prevent future occurrences.


Recounting the incident, Alhassan explained that it happened on Sunday at about 9:30 p.m. near the Wunti Market in Bauchi. The officer’s identity was uncovered after a bag containing his police ID card, teargas canisters, and other equipment fell from his motorcycle.


Alhassan, who sustained injuries, was treated at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital and later discharged. He said he was on his way to purchase suya (roasted meat) when the shooting occurred.
