 Super eagles coach Eric Chelle has signed for a new sports agency to represent him henceforth.  Eric Chelle, head coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, has signed with a new sports agency to represent him going forward.  The move is expected to strengthen his professional management and strategic engagements within the global football space.

 Edo Assembly Dismisses All Political Appointees


The Edo State House of Assembly has terminated the appointments of all political aides attached to its members, effective immediately.


Speaker Blessing Agbebaku announced the decision during Wednesday’s plenary session in Benin, stating that the resolution was unanimously agreed upon by all 24 lawmakers.


The affected appointees include special advisers, senior special advisers, and other political aides. Agbebaku clarified that while their appointments had been revoked, they would still receive their February salaries.


He explained that the appointees were initially appointed upon the inauguration of the Eighth Assembly in June 2023 and noted that the House would reconvene to determine further steps regarding the matter.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
