 CP ORUTUGU EXPOSES DOMESTIC STAFF WHO ALLEGEDLY MURDERED HIS EMPLOYER, A PENTECOSTAL CHURCH BISHOP, TO SELL THE VICTIM’S PRADO JEEP The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, PhD, today 13th May 2026  exposed and arrested a domestic staff member allegedly involved in the gruesome murder of his employer, a Pentecostal Bishop of End-reconciliation Ministry Asaba, Delta State, and the subsequent attempt to dispose of the victim’s Toyota Prado Jeep in Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State. The breakthrough followed a swift intelligence-led operation by Operatives attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Awkuzu, which led to the arrest of the suspect and another individual alleged to be the buyer of the stolen vehicle.  Driver, Apprentice Killed as Petrol Tanker Explodes in Ibadan


A petrol tanker explosion in Ibadan, Oyo State, has claimed the lives of a driver and his apprentice.


The incident occurred early Tuesday morning near Total Filling Station, Orita Challenge, when the tanker, carrying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), lost control due to brake failure while navigating a roundabout. The vehicle struck a concrete barrier, overturned, and caught fire.


Confirming the incident, Oyo State Fire Service General Manager, Yemi Akinyinka, stated that the fire was reported at 5:01 a.m. Firefighters, led by ACFS Olubunmi Christy, swiftly responded and used foam chemical compounds to contain the blaze.


The charred remains of the driver and his assistant were recovered and handed over to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) for transport to the hospital. Firefighters from Sumal Food Limited also assisted in extinguishing the flames, and personnel remain on-site for cooling operations to prevent reignition.
