 Super eagles coach Eric Chelle has signed for a new sports agency to represent him henceforth.  Eric Chelle, head coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, has signed with a new sports agency to represent him going forward.  The move is expected to strengthen his professional management and strategic engagements within the global football space.

 "Marine Le Pen's Political Future at Stake as Court Decides on Election Ban"


Marine Le Pen, leader of France’s far-right National Rally (RN), faces a critical ruling on Monday, as a judge will decide whether she should be banned from the 2027 presidential election. This stems from a trial over alleged misuse of EU funds to pay party salaries. The prosecutor recommended both a €300,000 fine and a prison sentence for Le Pen, alongside a five-year ban from public office, with the ban taking effect immediately if convicted.


The outcome is seen as crucial for Le Pen’s political future, with some arguing that preventing her from running could undermine democracy. Many commentators fear that giving judges the power to decide who can stand for election could have dangerous consequences for France’s democratic process. Le Pen remains confident that the court won't go as far as to block her candidacy.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
