 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  Tinubu saved Fubara from impeachment – Obidike


Suspended Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara should be grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for saving him from impeachment, and All Progressives Chieftain, Hon Obidike Chukwuebuka, has stated. 

He said Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State saved Fubara from the shame.

Reacting to the development on Wednesday, Obidike said: “While details of the alleged impeachment threat are scarce, President Tinubu’s involvement has significantly shaped Rivers State’s political landscape. 

“His commitment to promoting peace and stability was evident in a recent meeting with Governor Fubara and stakeholders, emphasizing unity and cooperation.

“As the situation unfolds, Governor Fubara’s fate remains closely tied to President Tinubu’s influence, with potential far-reaching implications for the state’s politics.”

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
