 A Limpopo man who stabbed his girlfriend to death in front of his own mother will spend the next 20 years in prison. The Polokwane High Court sentenced 48 year old Nathaniel Molatelo Mokgehle from Sekonye Village in the Botlokwa policing area for the murder of his girlfriend, 41 year old Mokgadi Julia Mohlaela. The court heard he chased her out of the house and continued stabbing her until she collapsed and died. Mokgehle also received six months for malicious damage to property. The sentence will run at the same time as the 20 year murder sentence. Evidence presented in court showed the victim had previously opened a malicious damage to property case against him. He was still attending court for that case when the murder happened. The attack happened on 08 June 2025 around 16:00 at his mother’s home in Sekonye Village.  Annie Idibia Declares Daughters as Her ‘Backbone’ at Headies Awards After Split from 2Face


Nigerian actress and model Annie Macaulay Idibia has described her two daughters, Isabella and Olivia, as her “backbone” following her recent separation from music icon 2Face Idibia. The statement came during Sunday’s Headies Awards ceremony in Lagos, where Annie addressed questions about her family.


Speaking to a journalist in pidgin, Annie emphasized her focus on her children, saying, “You mean my children? My children dey Kampe. The first one dey Yankee, she dey go school. No play with that girl o. I don’t play with my kids. Na them be my backbone.” She clarified that her daughters are her only family, underscoring their importance in her life post-divorce.


Annie made headlines at the event when she introduced herself on stage as “single,” taking a subtle jab at her ex-husband. “My name is Annie Idi—oh sorry, Annie Macaulay. Hey, single ladies!” she said, prompting reactions from the audience.


The actress’s comments follow reports that 2Face Idibia introduced his new partner, Natasha, to his mother a day earlier, fueling public interest in the couple’s separation.
