 “No electricity, no vote,” South Africans threaten to shun ruling party ANC Residents in Katlehong, a township outside Johannesburg, have resolved to boycott South Africa's upcoming local elections on November 4 due to long-standing failures by authorities to provide basic services like electricity. For over 20 years, around 180 households in the community have relied on illegal electrical connections pulled from neighboring areas to power their homes. Angry over the lack of formal grid infrastructure, residents are directing their frustration at the ruling African National Congress (ANC). "We have made a collective decision: no electricity, no vote," said community leader Lesiba Rankapole, 59. "We know it is illegal, but we had no choice because we cannot live without electricity. I haven’t decided my future yet, says Osimhen


Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen said he is getting to decide where he will play next season.

Currently on loan at Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray, the 28-year-old has enjoyed an impressive campaign, scoring 27 goals and providing seven assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.

The Turkish champions are eager to secure Osimhen’s services on a permanent basis.

However, several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal, are also said to be monitoring the Nigeria international’s situation.

Osimhen stated that his immediate focus is on helping Galatasaray secure the league title.

“I haven’t decided about my future yet. Right now, my only focus is Galatasaray’s championship. I will make this team a champion,” the forward was quoted by Web Aslan.
