Blaming opposition for hunger is ‘delusion’, Atiku tells Tinubu Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu of blaming the opposition for the country’s economic hardship. He said the President was trying to evade responsibility for his administration’s policies. Tinubu had earlier on Saturday blamed his political opponents for hunger and poverty in the country while speaking at the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna. “I hear my opponent talking about hunger, poverty. Who created it? They did! They created the hunger, they created the poverty. We are trying to eradicate it,” the President said.  Osun Secures $100m Investment Deal with UK Investors


Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has announced the signing of a $100 million investment deal with British investors, following his recent investment mission to the United Kingdom.


According to a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the Memorandum of Understanding—witnessed by the UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy, Hon. Florence Eshalomi—covers key sectors including agriculture, water, tourism, and free trade zones.


The visit also led to a cultural tourism partnership with the British Museum, focusing on Osun’s rich cultural heritage. Additionally, a collaborative framework was established between the Osun State Chamber of Commerce, the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce, and their UK counterpart to drive investment and economic development.


Governor Adeleke also held high-level meetings at the House of Commons, the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce, and with a select group of UK investors, debunking opposition claims of a failed trip.
