 YOBE STATE GOVERNMENT APPROVES ENROLLMENT OF RETIREES INTO THE STATES HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT  Yobe state government has approved the enrollment of the state and local government retirees into the state  contributory  Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA) social equity programme, marking a significant milestone in the state's effort to strengthen social protection and expand access to quality healthcare .  UK Supreme Court Rules 'Woman' Defined by Birth Sex in Landmark Decision


Britain’s Supreme Court has ruled that the legal definition of a “woman” under the Equality Act 2010 refers to biological sex, not gender identity. The unanimous verdict, delivered on April 16, 2025, marks a major win for Scottish gender-critical campaigners and has significant implications for single-sex spaces.


While affirming protection for transgender individuals under gender reassignment provisions, the court stated that single-sex services can function properly only if based on biological sex. The ruling comes amid ongoing tensions over trans rights and is expected to intensify pressure on the UK government to clarify legislation.
