 Maduro, Celia Flores allowed to use Venezuelan government funds for attorneys, ending legal standoff Former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Celia Flores will be allowed to use funds from the Venezuelan government to pay their attorneys, resolving a monthlong dispute over legal financing under U.S. sanctions. In a joint filing submitted Friday night, federal prosecutors and defense attorneys informed the court that the Department of the Treasury would amend a sanctions license to permit payments to the couple’s lawyers without violating existing restrictions. The arrangement includes strict conditions, including that any funds used must have become available after March 5, 2026, and cannot come from restricted foreign government deposit accounts. Prosecutors said the updated authorization resolves the funding dispute that had prompted the defense to seek dismissal of the case, and the defense has since withdrawn those motions without prejudice. A MISSOURI MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED AFTER A VICTIM COMES FORWARD AND ALLEGES HER MOTHER ALLOWED THOMAS GIBBS TO RAPE HER IN EXCHANGE FOR METHAMPHETAMINE WHILE THE VICTIM WAS IN GRADE SCHOOL.(PHOTO).

A Missouri man has been arrested after a victim comes forward and alleges her mother allowed Thomas Gibbs to rape her in exchange for methamphetamine while the victim was in grade school.


32-year-old Thomas Gibbs has been arrested after a victim of horrible childhood abuse begins to find her voice. We are so proud of her. 


The unnamed victim suffered through YEARS of abuse so her mom could allegedly continue to do methamphetamine for "free". The victim was finally rescued from the situation when her grandmother was awarded guardianship. After finding safety and stability in her grandmother's home this young girl began to speak her truth to therapists and investigators. 


The victim has alleged that between the ages of just 3 years old and 12-years-old, her mother would let various men r*** her for methamphetamine. During the year long investigation, she named Gibbs specifically and reported he had r**** her in exchange for drugs when she was 7 or 8 years old. 


The victim was able to describe Gibbs' home where he manufactured methamphetamine. During their investigation, detectives were able to locate multiple witnesses who confirmed Gibbs was at the victim's home during the time frame that she claims the r*** occurred.


Thomas Gibbs was arrested on May 7th. Upon hearing the victim's name, Thomas immediately asked for an attorney. Thomas is being held in the Saline County Detention Center (MO) on a $250,000 bond with his next court appearance scheduled for June 4th.


There is no word on her mother or if she will face any charges. There is also no word on if there will be more charges on other men. This is an ongoing investigation and we will update.
