 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. ‎Bishop Mike Okonkwo of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) has criticised the way political leaders in Nigeria approach governance, stating that many of them focus more on preparing for the next election than solving problems facing the people, during an interview with THE SUN.

‎He pointed to Abia State Governor Alex Otti as an example of what true leadership should look like. he stated  that Otti is not like those politicians who abandoned problems they ought to solve for their people and focus on campaigns and other things.

‎

‎"Honestly, if you go to Aba to talk against Alex Otti, they will stone you. He doesn’t need to come out; he will stay in his house in Umuahia. He will not say anything, they will kill you because there is evidence of performance and that is all that is needed"

‎

‎He urged leaders to perform and voting for you will be easy for them, stating that Nigerians are not easy to please. According to him, Nigerians  want a leader like Otti who can perform well in leadership.
