 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  It is Difficult To Unseat Alex Otti Due To What He has done for Abians—Bishop Okonkwo

‎Bishop Mike Okonkwo of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) has criticised the way political leaders in Nigeria approach governance, stating that many of them focus more on preparing for the next election than solving problems facing the people, during an interview with THE SUN.

‎He pointed to Abia State Governor Alex Otti as an example of what true leadership should look like. he stated  that Otti is not like those politicians who abandoned problems they ought to solve for their people and focus on campaigns and other things.

‎

‎"Honestly, if you go to Aba to talk against Alex Otti, they will stone you. He doesn’t need to come out; he will stay in his house in Umuahia. He will not say anything, they will kill you because there is evidence of performance and that is all that is needed"

‎

‎He urged leaders to perform and voting for you will be easy for them, stating that Nigerians are not easy to please. According to him, Nigerians  want a leader like Otti who can perform well in leadership.
