 Nollywood Actor Odira Nwobu Survives Deadly Crash in Lagos, Others Feared Dead


Nollywood actor Odira Nwobu narrowly escaped death in a tragic auto crash along the Lagos Expressway in the early hours of Thursday, June 26, 2025. Eyewitnesses reported that Nwobu was the sole survivor, with all other occupants of the vehicle feared dead at the scene. The exact number of casualties and their identities have yet to be officially confirmed.


The cause of the accident remains under investigation, with authorities working to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal crash. Emergency services responded swiftly, evacuating the deceased and clearing the wreckage to alleviate significant traffic congestion caused by the incident.


News of the accident has sent shockwaves through Nollywood, with fans and industry colleagues flooding social media with messages of relief for Nwobu’s survival and condolences for the lives lost. The actor, renowned for his comedic roles in Nollywood films, is currently receiving medical attention.
