“No electricity, no vote,” South Africans threaten to shun ruling party ANC Residents in Katlehong, a township outside Johannesburg, have resolved to boycott South Africa's upcoming local elections on November 4 due to long-standing failures by authorities to provide basic services like electricity.  The fashion world lost a bright light Saturday night when Project Runway star Arthur Folasa Ah Loo was tragically killed at an anti-Trump rally in Salt Lake City.

The 39-year-old Samoan-American designer and father of two was caught in crossfire when another protester brandished a rifle at the "No Kings" rally. Arthur had recently become a US citizen and cast his first vote in the 2024 election.

Utah Rep. Verona Mauga, who knew Arthur, said he "believed in equity and equality for all people" and was there supporting his community. The talented designer worked on Moana 2 costumes and co-founded the Creative Pacific Foundation. His family's GoFundMe has already raised over $173,000.
