 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. PROJECT RUNWAY STAR ARTHUR FOLASA AH LOO WAS TRAGICALLY KILLED AT AN ANTI-TRUMP RALLY IN SALT LAKE CITY. (PHOTO).

 The fashion world lost a bright light Saturday night when Project Runway star Arthur Folasa Ah Loo was tragically killed at an anti-Trump rally in Salt Lake City. 


 The 39-year-old Samoan-American designer and father of two was caught in crossfire when another protester brandished a rifle at the "No Kings" rally. Arthur had recently become a US citizen and cast his first vote in the 2024 election. 


 Utah Rep. Verona Mauga, who knew Arthur, said he "believed in equity and equality for all people" and was there supporting his community. The talented designer worked on Moana 2 costumes and co-founded the Creative Pacific Foundation. His family's GoFundMe has already raised over $173,000.
