 Zango Kataf, Jaba PDP Committees Hold Reconciliation Meeting Ahead Of 2027 Elections The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committees in Zango Kataf and Jaba Local Government Areas have held a strategic reconciliation meeting aimed at strengthening party unity and positioning the party for success in the 2027 general elections. The meeting, held on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Jaba Local Government Area, was jointly chaired by the PDP Chairmen of Jaba and Zango Kataf LGAs, Sabastine David Bijiri and Martins Markus Koyah. It brought together party executives, stakeholders, ward officials, elders, youth and women leaders, as well as members from both local government areas. Speaking at the meeting, the Zango Kataf PDP Chairman commended party leaders and members for supporting the zoning of the party’s House of Representatives ticket to Zango Kataf Local Government Area.  UK Supports US Bombing of Iran’s Nuclear Sites – Urges Diplomacy


The United Kingdom has officially backed the United States’ military strike on Iran’s nuclear sites. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, in a post on X, said Iran must never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons.


 “Iran’s nuclear programme is a grave threat to international security. The US has taken action to alleviate that threat,” he wrote. He called on Iran to return to diplomatic negotiations to avoid further crisis.


 But the reaction globally has been mixed.


🇺🇳 UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned that the US strike was a “dangerous escalation” and could spiral into a wider war with “catastrophic consequences for civilians and global peace.”


🇮🇷 Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi strongly condemned the bombing, calling it a violation of the UN Charter and international law.


🇻🇪 Venezuela, 🇨🇺 Cuba, 🇲🇽 Mexico, 🇳🇿 New Zealand, and 🇦🇺 Australia also criticized the attack, with some urging immediate de-escalation and a return to diplomatic talks.


 Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan were targeted in the bombing carried out by US forces.
