 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  UK Supports US Bombing of Iran’s Nuclear Sites – Urges Diplomacy


The United Kingdom has officially backed the United States’ military strike on Iran’s nuclear sites. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, in a post on X, said Iran must never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons.


 “Iran’s nuclear programme is a grave threat to international security. The US has taken action to alleviate that threat,” he wrote. He called on Iran to return to diplomatic negotiations to avoid further crisis.


 But the reaction globally has been mixed.


🇺🇳 UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned that the US strike was a “dangerous escalation” and could spiral into a wider war with “catastrophic consequences for civilians and global peace.”


🇮🇷 Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi strongly condemned the bombing, calling it a violation of the UN Charter and international law.


🇻🇪 Venezuela, 🇨🇺 Cuba, 🇲🇽 Mexico, 🇳🇿 New Zealand, and 🇦🇺 Australia also criticized the attack, with some urging immediate de-escalation and a return to diplomatic talks.


 Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan were targeted in the bombing carried out by US forces.
