 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. PRESIDENT EMMANUEL MACRON AND HIS WIFE BRIGITTE HAVE STARTED A THREE-DAY STATE VISIT TO THE UK. THE FIRST BY A FRENCH PRESIDENT SINCE 2008 AND THE FIRST EU LEADER SINCE BREXIT. (PHOTOS).

 President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte have started a three-day state visit to the UK. The first by a French president since 2008 and the first EU leader since Brexit.


The Macrons were welcomed at RAF Northolt by the Prince and Princess of Wales, before joining King Charles and Queen Camilla in Windsor. They travelled in open-top carriages through Windsor in a royal procession escorted by the Household Cavalry.

pital, Essex on Wednesday 2nd July. She wore a Christian Dior jacket in a graceful nod to French fashion.

A ceremonial French trumpet 

A luxury engraved watercolour set

A gourmet hamper of French delicacies
