 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  PETER OBI'S SON SLAMS CRITICS ON FALSEHOOD


The son of Labour Party presidential candidate and former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has slammed his father's critics as well as his own distractors on slanderous falsehood. 


Oseloka Obi said it is unfortunate that people put him and his father in the same class, adding that he is an actor and filmmaker while his father is the politician.


Oseloka slammed those weaving political lies around his online photos to achieve mischievous ends. 


“I have never lived a life of scandal," he said. "I am an actor and filmmaker, not a politician. It is unfortunate that some people take my creative roles and repackage them into political lies. This pettiness does not move Nigeria forward. These are distractions."
