 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  Retired General Williams: Nigeria’s Security Problems Can Be Solved in Six Months


Retired General Ishola Williams, the former Chief of Defence Training and Planning, is hopeful that Nigeria can address its numerous security challenges.


Ishola stated on Channels Television's Sunrise Daily program on Friday that the issue of insecurity could be resolved within six months.


"We can resolve the security issue within six months," he claimed.


Reports have emerged of bandit attacks occurring in various parts of the country. The most recent incident involved an assault on a mosque in Katsina State, resulting in the deaths of over 30 worshippers.


Conflicts over land and other resources have been associated with banditry.


Armed gangs have transformed cattle theft, kidnapping, and the imposition of taxes on farmers into lucrative enterprises throughout the impoverished rural areas. Residents report that government presence in these regions has been insufficient.
