Wike taking loans for FCT without National Assembly approval – Kingibe alleges The senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Ireti Kingibe, has alleged that the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has been taking loans for the nation’s capital without the approval of the National Assembly. Kingibe made the allegation on Tuesday during an interview. She was discussing the FCT administration, the Abuja master plan and the oversight responsibilities of the National Assembly.  Retired General Williams: Nigeria’s Security Problems Can Be Solved in Six Months


Retired General Ishola Williams, the former Chief of Defence Training and Planning, is hopeful that Nigeria can address its numerous security challenges.


Ishola stated on Channels Television's Sunrise Daily program on Friday that the issue of insecurity could be resolved within six months.


"We can resolve the security issue within six months," he claimed.


Reports have emerged of bandit attacks occurring in various parts of the country. The most recent incident involved an assault on a mosque in Katsina State, resulting in the deaths of over 30 worshippers.


Conflicts over land and other resources have been associated with banditry.


Armed gangs have transformed cattle theft, kidnapping, and the imposition of taxes on farmers into lucrative enterprises throughout the impoverished rural areas. Residents report that government presence in these regions has been insufficient.
