 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  TRUMP TO OFFER PUTIN RARE EARTH MINERALS IN ALASKA


US President Donald Trump is allegedly proposing to offer Vladimir Putin rare earth minerals in pursuit of a ceasefire in Ukraine. 


This proposal is ahead of a scheduled meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska on Friday. The meeting is to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.


Apart from the natural minerals deal, the US may also lift some sanctions on Russia’s aviation industry to make Putin agree to ending the Russian-Ukrainian war.


Trump said that if the meeting goes well, he will schedule another one immediately where himself, Putin, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet. 


“If the first one goes okay, we’ll have a quick second one," Trump said. "I would like to do it almost immediately, and we’ll have a quick second meeting between President Putin and President Zelensky and myself, if they’d like to have me there.”
