 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.  Amawbia Youth Vanguard Leads Protest to End Social Vices in Anambra, demands  immediate shutdown of brothels in Amawbia.


In a decisive move to reinforce peace, security, and moral order in Anambra State, the Amawbia Youth Vanguard  staged a massive protest against the alarming surge of social vices, declaring their commitment to confront illicit activities threatening the safety and dignity of the community.


The demonstration stunned the city as the youth displayed placards bearing bold messages, including: "Say No To Morning Star Guesthouse, Happiness Guesthouse, Nice Day Guesthouse, and Whatsapp Guesthouse."


In a release signed by the Chairman of Amawbia Youth Vanguard, Hon. Comr. Chukwunwendu Benedict Nnagbo, the protest commenced at Eziokpaligwe Square and advanced to suspected criminal hideouts linked to drug dealing, prostitution, brothels, hoodlums, and other illicit activities. The protest particularly targeted Morning Star Guesthouse and Happiness Guesthouse, with the aim of drawing attention to community concerns and demanding their total closure.


The group subsequently marched to the Anambra State Police Headquarters in Amawbia, seeking immediate intervention to shut down the brothels and restore dignity to the Amawbia community.


Addressing the youth, the representative of the Police Commissioner acknowledged receipt of their comprehensive reports and commended them for their peaceful and law-abiding conduct, in accordance with societal norms and statutory regulations.


The demonstration underscored the group’s commitment to building a safer and more respectable Amawbia, while urging the government and security agencies to match words with decisive action.
